If you're familiar with TCA, you'll know that I am in love with bright colours. I even mentioned it here in my last post! The Jussieu University campus is the most colourful and aesthetically pleasing university that I've ever been to, and it makes me wish that I was studying a science (lol I don't think so). This campus is truly one to behold and, personally, I think it's the most beautiful campus that I have ever laid eyes upon, on social media or in real life.
I discovered the location for today's post just over one month ago and it was love at first sight. The campus is a little far out from where I live, and normally, I never venture too far from my residential district on my free days; I love to stay in and catch up on my missed tv shows. However, I've come to notice that the places in Paris which I love most require a bit of travel.
Blue, and more specifically, royal blue has become my new favorite colour of the year, coming head to head with a nice sunny yellow. Which will win? One never knows.
Since we're getting pretty chummy, I'll let you in on another secret: I got my bralette (similar) donned with a cute french motif 'Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité' (just kidding, it's just their motto) and my blouse from my go to store, & Other Stories . Unfortunately the pants are all sold out, but I'll update this post if I find something similar!
As I mentioned before, my outfit, which is a total & Other Stories look, was styled to look more laid back and 90s hip hop. The bold royal blue trousers caught my eye first, followed by the blouse, and they remained on my mind for a while. I knew from the time that I laid eyes on these pieces, these were meant to be photographed at this location.
I stalked all three & Other Stories locations in Paris for 2 weeks until they were available in store. I'm not a creep really, I promise. Just a fashion lover.
The royal blue material, perfect for an effortlessly chic look on a cool spring day was made from raw silk and wasn't too lightweight, proving to be one of my newly favourite wardrobe items that I can't believe that I actually waited a whopping two weeks to get my hands on! Dedication or what?
By the time I got the outfit, I was totally enamored with the architecture and the rainbow track, and with such a cool location, I decided that my initial 'chic' styling wouldn't do. What better to do than channel my inner Aaliyah — you know, if she had a fro— and show out the badass in blue.
Let me know what you guys think about today's look, and don't forget to like, share, comment, and subscribe!
