I have a hard time finding the right products for my hair. Month after month, and jar after bottle, I can never seem to find the right products for my fro.

There is a constant battle between my hair and moisture retention, and after two years of bing completely natural, and three years of transitioning, I couldn't seem to get the juicy shiny curls that many other girls wear proudly.

I've since then found a solution to my problem, and for one month I've tested out the Jamaican Mango & Lime Coconut Mil & Honey Moisture Masque to see if this product would actually work.

I love to ramble, so without further ado, here is my review (that rhymes!).

Smell: The smell of this product is divine. It's a noticeably sweet coconut smell, but I couldn't trace the scent of honey over the course of 4 weeks.  It's not too overbearing which is great since too potent smells ends up in a massive migraine for me.

Texture: Whipped & creamy are the best words I can use to describe the texture of this product. It isn't runny like lotion lotion or watery, and it contains no sulfates or mineral oils!

Packaging: Gone are the days of having to unscrew your jar! The packaging is honestly the first best thing about this product. In addition to the cap being removable, the cover of the jar has a lid which you can lift and close. So convenient, right? It's ultimately my favourite thing, and now I wish every brand would think of doing it.

Effectiveness: According to the description on Amazon, this moisturising masque is supposed to provide intense moisturization, soothe hair fibers, repair split ends, control shine & frizz,  add gloss and strengthen hair. I'll review in this order.

Intense Moisture: After a brutally long winter and no protective styles on my part, my hair was a bit dry and weak, begging for some help. I picked this product up to try it out, and after my 20 minute break on wash day, also known my conditioniner/mask sitting time I was pleasantly surprised that my hair looked lively and was soft to touch and most importantly, moisturised even after it had dried.

Soothe Hair Fibers: I'm not exactly sure HOW to measure the results on this, but the next time I sit in my hairdresser's chair, I'll be sure to ask her.

Repair Split Ends: I don't normally believe in 'split end repair solutions', and I had quite a lot of them. I normally opt for a trim done by none other than myself, but this time around the amount of trimming I did was noticeably reduced.

Control Shine & Frizz: I've never had a problem with shine, so this doesn't really

Strengthen Hair: After four weeks, my hair doesn't break as easily and I can run my fingers or a comb without my hair snapping.

My total rating for the Jamaican Mango & Lime Coconut Mil & Honey Moisture Masque would be a 4.5/5, since the glossiness and shine control were elements that weren't exactly useful or noticeable to me. Other than that, I'm happy for picking this masque up in the store while I had the chance! My fro is now very soft and more healthy than it was before, which I'll admit, was partly my fault...you know, about 60%.

Until next time, keep your hair happy and healthy, and I urge you to definitely try out this product if you want a new treatment masque.
